THY 120 ülkede 300 noktaya uçuyor

THY Genel Müdür Yardımcısı Olmuştur, 120 ülkede 300’den fazla noktaya uçtuklarını söyledi.

Türk Hava Yolları (THY) Genel Müdür Yardımcısı Ahmet Olmuştur, THY’nin yurtdışı hatlarda da iddialı olduğunu belirterek, “An itibari ile dünyanın 120 ülkesindeki 300’den fazla noktaya uçuşumuz var.” dedi.

THY’nin Chicago’ya uçuşunun 20. yıl dönümü, Chicago Yat Kulübü’nde düzenlenen etkinlikle kutlandı.

Etkinliğe Olmuştur’un yanı sıra Türkiye’nin Chicago Başkonsolosu Umut Acar, THY 2. Bölge Başkanı Kerem Sarp, THY Chicago Müdürü Tuncay Eminoğlu, dış misyon şefleri, THY ile iş yapan tur operatörleri, acente temsilcileri katıldı.

Başkonsolos Acar etkinlikte yaptığı konuşmada, sunduğu kaliteli hizmetlerle Türkiye’deki seyahat alışkanlığını değiştiren THY’nin yurt dışında da Türkiye’nin gururu olmayı başardığını söyledi.

“THY ve Türkiye birlikte büyüyor. Ağustos ayında THY yolcu rekoru, Türkiye ise büyüme rekoru kırdı.” ifadesini kullanan Acar, “Bugün hemen hemen her ilimizde havaalanı var. Hatta mevcutlar yetmediği için İstanbul’a dünyanın en büyük havaalanını yapıyoruz. THY’ye nice nice 20 yıllar diliyoruz.” dedi.

THY Chicago Müdürü Eminoğlu da THY’nin Chicago’ya olan seferlerinin 8 Mayıs 1997 tarihinde haftada 3 uçuşla başladığını hatırlattı. Aradan geçen 20 yılda uçak sayı ve kalitesini artıran THY’nin, Chicago uçuşlarını haftanın 7 gününe çıkardığını belirten Eminoğlu, en iyi hizmeti sunabilmek için yoğun çaba harcadıklarını ifade etti.

THY Genel Müdür Yardımcısı Olmuştur, etkinlikte gazetecilerin sorularını yanıtladı. Kurumun faaliyetlerine ilişkin soruya Olmuştur, “THY olarak çok iyi bir yıl geçiriyoruz. 2017 yılında THY hem yolcu sayısını hem karlılığını hem de uçtuğu nokta sayısını artırdı.” dedi.

Olmuştur, İstanbul’a açılacak yeni havalimanının THY’ye yeni fırsatlar getireceğine işaret ederek, “THY 84 yıllık tecrübesiyle yeni havalimanına taşınma operasyonunu da başarılı bir şekilde ifa edecektir. Bu konuyla İlgili planlamalar uzun süredir yapılıyor. Açılırsa İstanbul’da yeni havaalanına taşınma 2018’de gerçekleşecek. Çalışmalarımız bu yönde devam ediyor” diye konuştu.

Son 15 yılda Türkiye’deki havalimanı sayısının iki katına çıktığını hatırlatan Olmuştur, “THY yurt içinde doğudan batıya kadar Türkiye’nin her noktasına uçuyor. THY olarak yurtdışı hatlarında da iddialıyız. An itibari ile dünyanın 120 ülkesindeki 300’den fazla noktaya uçuşumuz var.” dedi.
